Business Law
Matthew brings his large law firm experience to FH2’s diverse and expanding corporate and litigation practices. Matthew concentrates his practice on business litigation, business transactions, labor and employment, corporate and real estate matters.

Litigation
Matthew represents individuals and businesses in a variety of matters. His work includes representing both landlords and tenants in commercial real estate lease disputes, business-to-business disputes, defending premises liability claims brought against commercial real estate owners, developers, and businesses, and matters involving contracts, customers, employees, and vendors in both state and federal courts, as well as certain regulatory matters.

Matthew brings early experience to his practice in both litigation and corporate matters.  While in law school he participated in the Investor Advocacy Clinic, and had the privilege to work for Chief Judge Stephen Louis A. Dillard of the Court of Appeals of Georgia.

Business Counsel
Matthew strives to understand his client’s day-to-day needs as its general counsel and become an integral part of the client’s trusted team.  He assists clients with acquisitions, divestitures, and corporate restructuring, including due diligence, negotiations, corporate formation, the formation and negotiation of contracts (non-disclosure agreements, employment agreements, non-competition and non-solicitation agreements, etc.), permitting, and licensing. He has assisted clients with large asset acquisitions and divestitures from the initial negotiations through closing, as well as corporate reorganizations involving the consolidation of entities and existing operations.

Outside of the Office
Matthew enjoys spending time with his wife and young family, and is an avid Atlanta Braves fan and golfter.
